In collaboration with the SKF in-house team, Letters from Sweden were commissioned to design an exclusive new typeface family with extensive language support, a wide range of weights, and a distinctive set of mathematical symbols. SKF Sans draws inspiration from the classic SKF logotype, known for its robust appearance, unique proportions, and slightly rounded corners. These attributes are echoed in the typeface, reinforcing the visual connection to the original logo. The design maintains a strong baseline presence, with key letterforms featuring narrow tops and wider bottoms—details derived from the “S” and “K” in the logo that enhance its stability and character. SKF Sans is available in eight styles, supporting Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts.
